Djibouti port rescues crew members of the Rubymar ship

An unprecedented rescue operation carried out by the Port of Djibouti ensured the safe return of the passengers of the ship “Rubimar”, which flies the flag of the State of Belize.
The aforementioned ship was attacked last Sunday, while crossing the southern Red Sea, which forced the captain and his crew to evacuate it as a precaution.
Treatment was provided to the ship's crew, which consisted of 24 individuals (11 Syrians, 6 Egyptians, 3 Indians, and 4 Filipinos).
This came after hearing the distress call that came from the ship, and the Djiboutian naval forces quickly responded quickly and with exemplary efficiency, as the crew was forced to abandon the ship after it was attacked, leaving it at sea in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Thanks to this rapid intervention, the Djiboutian authorities were able to ensure that the ship’s crews arrived safely at the port of Djibouti, a quarter of an hour before five.
It is worth noting that the maritime rescue operation off the coast of Djibouti once again confirms the vital role played by the Port of Djibouti in maintaining the safety of maritime navigation and providing assistance to ships, especially in emergency situations.
This gesture of international solidarity also enhances the reputation of Djibouti, which is considered a bastion of security and stability in this region, which is often shaken by geopolitical storms.
The ship was carrying 21,999 tons on board.
