Strengthening academic and research cooperation at the table of the Djibouti Ambassador in Cairo and the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to Cairo, Mr. Ahmed Ali Berri, met with the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ayman Ashour, in the presence of Dr. Sherif Saleh, Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Ashour stressed the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Djibouti, noting that these relations are characterized by a common keenness to cooperate in all fields, including higher education and scientific research.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of higher education and scientific research, where Dr. Ayman Ashour reviewed the Egyptian Initiative for Scholarships and Educational Tourism (EGYAID) for international students, noting that it is an important step in developing higher education and scientific research in Egypt, and seeks The system facilitates administrative and organizational procedures for students and provides them with a distinguished educational environment.
He expressed Egypt's readiness to receive more Djiboutian students to study in various Egyptian universities, stressing the need to overcome all obstacles facing Djiboutian students who wish to study in Egypt, and noting that the Egyptian government places international students, especially African ones, at the top of its priorities, and works to provide them with all facilities. To ensure their success in their studies.
For his part, Ambassador Ahmed Ali Berri praised Egypt's efforts in the field of higher education and scientific research, noting the close fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, and Egypt's continued support for Djibouti in various fields, looking forward to more cooperation between Djiboutian and Egyptian universities.
