The Somali Prime Minister is hosted by his Djiboutian counterpart

Last Thursday, the 21st of December, the Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelkader Kamel Mohamed, received in his office at the Ministerial Complex, a high-level delegation headed by his Somali counterpart, Mr. Hamza Abdel Barre, on the sidelines of the latter’s participation in the work of the seventh session of the Forum. Somali intellectuals, which was held in Djibouti under the slogan “Promoting a culture of peace and peaceful coexistence in the region.”
During the interview, the topics that dominated the discussions of the seventh session of the forum were highlighted, which constitutes a platform that includes Somali researchers, intellectuals, writers, policy makers and others, to discuss ways to enhance the culture of peace and peaceful coexistence, as well as to analyze the basic problems in the region, to find effective and sustainable solutions to them.
In addition to the benefit and added value of this annual forum, the Somali Prime Minister drew attention to the distinguished relations and historical ties that unite the two brotherly countries. At the same time, we appreciate Djibouti’s contribution to the African Union Transitional Mission in Somalia “ATMIS”, which is actively participating in the efforts made to reduce terrorist attacks in Mogadishu, in addition to achieving the maximum level of security and safety in priority areas such as Shebelle, Galmudug and Jubaland.

At the conclusion of this meeting, the Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelkader Kamel Mohamed, praised the career of the late Khadija Mohamed Dirieh, Minister of Women and Human Rights in the Somali Federal Government, who passed away recently in Djibouti, and reiterated his deep condolences to the family of the deceased, her relatives, and the Somali people, asking May God Almighty shower her with His vast mercy, dwell her in His spacious gardens, and inspire her family and loved ones with patience and solace.
