A workshop for journalists on migration sponsored by the International Organization for Migration.

On the occasion of World Migration Day, which falls on December 18th, the International Organization for Migration organized a training workshop for journalists on the issue of migration in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Information in charge of Post, Mr. Ahmed Youssef Elmi, the representative of the International Organization for Migration in Djibouti, the organization’s trainers, and a number of journalists participating in the event. Course.
This aims to activate the contributions of journalists on regular and irregular migration issues, by collecting their ideas and enhancing their capabilities on migration issues.
This workshop is organized with financial support from the Joint Initiative between the European Union and the International Organization for Migration for the Protection and Reintegration of Migrants in the Horn of Africa, with funding from the US Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Information appreciated the preparations of the International Organization for Migration for International Migration Day, which falls on December 18th.
In fact, he said, adjusting the journalistic framework and tone is also crucial to arousing sympathy among the host population in Djibouti. We are facing several types of migrants, and our country welcomes thousands of refugees from neighboring, friendly and brotherly countries.
He added that Djibouti is considered a safe haven for a large number of refugees and is supported by well-established national governmental and non-governmental institutions that work tirelessly, driven by impeccable humanity.
