Closing of the National Mathematics Week and launching the 4th edition of the Reading Festival

The Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Mustafa Mohamed Mahmoud, chaired the closing ceremony of the activities of the National Mathematics Week, and the occasion of the launch of the fourth edition of the Reading Festival.
The Minister of Information in charge of Posts and Communications, Mr. Radwan Abdullah Bahdoun, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabil Mohamed Ahmed, participated in the two events, in addition to high-level cadres from the Department of National Education.
At the conclusion of National Mathematics Week, students from participating educational institutions amazed members of the government and the audience with their amazing performances, through pavilions dedicated to robotics, engineering, programming, and puzzle solving, all the way to traditional games, where they brilliantly presented performances that highlight the role that mathematics plays in our daily lives.
Following the official conclusion of National Mathematics Week, the three ministers, in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and joy, launched the fourth edition of the Reading Festival, which is considered an initiative full of creativity under the slogan “Letters to write and words to express.”
The Minister of National Education and Vocational Training and his guests toured pavilions dedicated to journalism, books, and inclusiveness, as well as telling stories and poetry in mother languages, thus expressing their commitment to promoting reading in all its forms.
According to its organizers, the Reading Festival, now in its fourth edition, has become an integral part of the educational scene, and it aims to encourage students at all levels of education to explore the power of words and learn closely about the endless richness of literature and culture.
In conclusion, students of secondary education institutions held a press conference, allowing the ministers to express their impressions on these distinguished events, and to highlight the importance of reading, education and culture to build a bright future for the Djiboutian nation.
