President's Award for the Advancement of Women - 2024

Within the framework of concern for women, family and children 2024, the Ministry of Women and Family (MFF), in close cooperation with the National Union of Djiboutian Women (UNFD), is collecting application forms submitted by women to register for the President’s Award for the Advancement of Women.
Completed application forms must be submitted to the Office of the Secretariat of the Multilateral Financial Fund and to the Office of the Secretariat of the United Nations Development Fund before 20 February 2024. After this date, no applications will be accepted.
It is worth noting that the award, which was established by President Ismail Omar Guelleh in 2000, is commemorated on March 8 of each year during International Women’s Day. It is awarded to women who are most deserving of promotion in various fields.
The award topics this year are as follows:
Economic Prize: A woman or a group of women at the heart of the development of science working on a project in the field of agriculture, grains, cosmetics manufacturing, etc.
Social Award: Women's Association or Women in Preventive Work for Cultural or Scientific Development with the aim of promoting equal opportunities.
