Djibouti participates in the 44th session of the Executive Council of ISESCO

The Ambassador of Djibouti and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Diaa Al-Din Saeed, participated in the work of the 44th session of the Executive Council of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in Jeddah, in the presence of Dr. Salem bin Muhammad Al-Malik, Director-General of the organization, and Dr. Dawas Taysir Dawas, Chairman of the Executive Council of ISESCO and Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science,
With the participation of delegations of member states of the organization, as well as members of the Executive Council, as well as representatives of regional and international organizations and bodies.
The Executive Council’s agenda included handing over the ISESCO Prize in the field of eradicating girls’ and women’s illiteracy to the winners of the 2023 edition, from civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations working in the field. It also witnessed a presentation on the culture index for countries of the Islamic world, in addition to the signing of a number of agreements between ISESCO and a group of International organizations and institutions, as well as working sessions to review reports on: ISESCO’s achievements and activities for the year 2023, the organization’s draft work plan and budget for the years 2024-2025, and the progress made regarding the preparation of the Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse Charter, as well as periodic reports on the organization’s work.
