Djibouti welcomes the increase in aid to the Gaza Strip

The Republic of Djibouti expressed its welcome of the UN Security Council resolution regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
  This came in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The statement stressed that this decision represents an important step to alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe taking place in the Gaza Strip, but it is insufficient because it does not include demands for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the bloodshed in Gaza.
The Foreign Ministry's statement renewed Djibouti's call to end the brutal aggression and crimes of genocide, destruction and displacement to which the brotherly Palestinian people are subjected in all Palestinian territories, especially in the Gaza Strip, by the Israeli occupation forces.
At the same time, he also renewed the Republic of Djibouti’s call for the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in implementing all its resolutions related to the Arab-Israeli conflict in order to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, based on the two-state solution, which is considered the only way to resolve the Palestinian issue, end the illegal Israeli occupation, and achieve sustainable stability in the region.
