The Minister of Foreign Affairs receives Egypt's candidate for the position of Director-General of UNESCO

Yesterday, Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssef, received in his office at the Ministry, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, the candidate of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt for the position of Director-General of UNESCO for the period 2025-2029, as part of a tour undertaken by Dr. Al-Anani as part of a campaign. Nominate him for the position.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister congratulated Dr. Al-Anani for the confidence placed in him by the Egyptian state in nominating him for this high international position, and for this nomination receiving Arab consensus and support, wishing him success in winning the position.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed Djibouti's support for the nomination of Dr. Al-Anani and its full readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance to achieve success in the elections, in coordination with the Arab Group and other groups in UNESCO, praising the academic qualifications, executive achievements and international experience that the Arab candidate possesses, extending for more than 30 years.
For his part, Dr. Annabi expressed his deep thanks to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the warm reception and support for his candidacy.
