Signing an agreement to establish two solar energy parks in Djibouti

The Chairman of the Ports and Free Zones Authority, Mr. Abu Bakr Omar Haddi, the Director General of the Sovereign Fund of Djibouti, Dr. Salim Feriani, and the Director of the New Themis/Denham Capital Investment Group, signed an agreement to establish two solar energy parks within the free zones to meet sustainable energy needs, Especially for cold chain logistics, as well as the irrigation system in the hydroponic farm.
This agreement represents a tangible step within the framework of Djibouti’s Vision 2035 by integrating environmentally friendly practices into free zones and industrial parks. This transformation would also position the free zone as an introduction to green manufacturing by reducing carbon emissions and adopting sustainable practices.
It is also worth noting that the New Themis/Denham Capital group specializes in the construction of airport infrastructure, hydroelectric, solar or wind power plants, highways, hospitals, and the establishment of contracts for the research and exploitation of mineral resources.
