The Speaker of the National Assembly participates in parliamentary work on climate change COP 28 in Dubai

Speaker of the National Assembly Dilita Muhammad Dilita participated,
, in parliamentary action on climate change in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
As part of his participation in this important meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives is accompanied by Representative Almi Mahaba and his advisor for Arab affairs, Mr. Ali Amdan Abdo.
In a memorable speech he delivered on the occasion, Mr. Dilita Mohamed Dilita immediately pointed out that the Republic of Djibouti is the perfect example of a country suffering the full brunt of the consequences of climate change.
He insisted that these climate disturbances undermine citizens' ability to withstand and adapt.
In the face of this continuous cycle, our country, as the President of the National Assembly stated, has resolutely shifted over the past two decades towards renewable and sustainable energies.
He added that Djibouti aims to become the first African country to operate entirely with renewable energies.
Finally, he wanted to clarify that Djibouti had established in 2023 a legal framework defining the contribution mechanism in this sense.
